Myfitnesspal.com resolutioners12/11/2023 ![]() ![]() The people who go there are all super fit, they come in they get down to work and then chat when they are done. ![]() But I don’t blame them, it I lived closer I would be there more than my family would probably like. It is apparent that everyone likes being there and it is their third place. You can tell there is a lot of thought and effort put into the programming and planning there (in all aspects). I also follow them on facebook and frequently there are impromptu open gyms and WODs. I don’t know how to put it into words but it is more of a fit with my brain. ![]() While I have not attended a class and done an actual WOD there I am into the programming there. Coach Case even has a weekly GORUCK training session that I swear I will get to one day in the very near future! Anyway, I always feel comfortable and welcome there. I will say there always seems to be some sort of community event going on and when you go into this place you get it, everyone chats with everyone and you can just feel it is a great community. I even spent the night of the Paleo Potluck chatting with a group of women I didn’t know about paleo foods (and cookies) like we were old mates, it was good times and I met Rachel of whom I think is pretty cool (her and her husband kept me safe from zombie attacks too) and Renee who always has a great smile. However, every time I was there I was made to feel comfortable by the people I met. I will say that for a while I felt awkward going there, I was going to another box at the time, I wasn’t a member there but was traveling all of the way to them for various events. The atmosphere at CFCF is very welcoming, everyone is really friendly, I had been there quite a few times and quickly met different people each time. It is very well organized and immaculately clean (yes only I would notice that) with clear signage which includes elements, WODs and other information, most of which is displayed on chalkboard painted walls, which is genius in my opinion. The main portion of the box has a great open area and lay out. There is a community area which is nicely set up with CFCF swag, supplements, fuel and a TV which I have only ever seen playing CrossFit videos, they also have dressing rooms for men and women. When you walk in you immediately know this place is run well and organized. I first went to ClarkFloyd for a paleo seminar back in January. So since I haven’t officially started the tour I figured I would go ahead and give a proper review of ClarkFloyd CrossFit. This hasn’t happened mainly due to time, shoulder, and health, there is nothing worse than trying to WOD with iron in the single digits. I had said previously that I wanted to do a box tour after the resolutioners had calmed down. My first Box Review – ClarkFloyd CrossFit For the last bit we chatted about diet and leaning out to which I had a moment where I didn’t feel like such a geek because he started talking about Gary Taubes and things he says, proving that I am not the only one who sits around reading articles online about geeky nutrition stuff. After we were finished we worked on some shoulder mobility. As I said before it wasn’t anything “restful” it was harder work because I hadn’t really recovered from yesterday. Afterward I went through a series of hip mobility warm ups and then on to running drills. Today’s one on one started as usual with me warming up on the rower, I can’t get over how much I want a rower now after being on one so often. ![]()
